There is a wheelchair friendly bathroom facility beside the main carpark. There are also multiple toilet facilities near the mountain bike trail head. There are informational displays that teach you about the area's mining history as you meander through a rainforest that has been regenerating since tin mining destroyed the area more than a century ago. While this walk does not offer much of a challenge, the emergency shelter at the trailhead features barbecue pits and a picnic table, which makes it a great spot for a home base while exploring the Blue Tier Forest Reserve.
