The Moorings at Lady Franklin
The Moorings at Lady Franklin is a welcoming pub located in Franklin, approximately 45km south of Hobart. The Moorings serves traditional and hearty pub meals that are good value for money. All of the usual suspects can be found on the menu - steaks, burgers, beer battered fish, salt and pepper calamari, crumbed scallops or prawns, seafood chowder, a variety of beef and chicken schnitzels and parmigianas and more! There are also a number of vegan dishes available, as well as lighter meal options including salads, wraps and soup. Most of the meals are served with either fries or sidewinders and/or salad. For those of you who don't know what sidewinders are, they are the lovechild of curly fries and wedges - thick, curly, seasoned potato-ey goodness that is crispy on the outside and pillowy soft on this inside. The Moorings helpfully categorises the menu based on the size of the meal with headings such as 'entrees', 'hungry', 'starving' and 'half serves
