Southport Hotel
Southport Hotel is located in Southport, approximately 96km South of Hobart. It forms part of the Caravan Park complex and the restaurant overlooks the beautiful bushy grounds of the park. The pub-style meals served in the restaurant are hearty and generous. With two wood fires to warm the bar and restaurant, the atmosphere is cosy and welcoming. The wood fire in the restaurant is surrounded by two lounges, which make for the perfect area to relax and enjoy a drink. We started off our dinner with some cheesy garlic bread. The bread melted in our mouths, but still had a good amount of crispiness. For mains we had chicken schnitzel and chips, topped with prawns, scallops and a garlic sauce. The prawns and scallops were plump and juicy and the garlic sauce was absolutely amazing. It was buttery without being oily and had lots of garlic (which we love!).
