On The Bay
On The Bay is located in Port Arthur, on the Tasman Peninsula, approximately 95km South-East of Hobart. Although On The Bay is Stewart Bay Lodge's onsite restaurant, anyone is welcome to dine at the restaurant. The timber and glass building blends into the natural landscape, while providing filtered views of the water and peaceful surrounds. The restaurant comprises a fairly sizeable dining room, a cosy lounge area in front of the wood fire and a casual outdoor eating area. The tables are nicely spread out so you don't feel like you're sitting on top of the other diners. The lounge area is the perfect spot to enjoy a warming cuppa or an aperitif. For dinner we started with a plate of freshly shucked oysters - whisky, bacon and brie, natural with a slice of lemon and ginger lime gin. The toppings paired well with the plump oysters. We particularly loved the warm whisky, bacon and brie oysters. For mains we had fresh Tassie scallops, crumbed, with chips and salad. The scallo
