Snug Tavern

  Snug Tavern is located in the coastal township of Snug, approximately 24km south of Hobart. Aesthetically speaking, this tavern is fairly modest, and while the food it serves is simple pub fare, it is hearty and satisfying. The garlic pizza appetiser was deliciously garlicky and cheesy, and although the portion seemed on the smaller side, it was actually the perfect size and prevented us from filling up prematurely. The garlic prawns with rice and salad was a lovely light meal which can be enjoyed as an entrée or main. We chose the main size. The sauce was lovely and creamy and had just the right amount of garlic without being too overpowering. The well-dressed salad provided a fresh element to the dish. The chicken schnitzel was succulent and coated in crunchy panko goodness.  We topped it with a surf and turf sauce, which consisted of salt and pepper calamari and a creamy, garlic sauce with prawns and scallops The chargrilled 'surf and turf' steak was a delight to eat. It w
