Southport Lagoon - Camping Located at the end of the Southport Lagoon 4WD track is this comfortable, multiple campsite location. The campsites are all well marked out and all have fire pot facilities which you must use if you wish to have a fire there. The sizes vary between single tent and vehicle locations through to multi vehicles or multi tent locations, allowing solo campers to have a site to themselves or plenty of space for families / groups getting together.  At the entrance to the campsite is a helicopter pad for evacuation, this area must be kept clear. There is also a Parks notification on entrance that you can only stay for a maximum of 7 days. Two toilet facilities are spread out throughout the campsites, both of them have male and female toilets along with hand washing facilities. Although not cleaned often these sites are well maintained by Parks.  There is no firewood collection at these sites therefore you must bring your own wood in. Where you pitch your tents is gras
